Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a superficial injectable skin treatment designed to support skin hydration, radiance, tone and overall skin quality.

The treatment involves placing small amounts of selected skin-supporting ingredients into the superficial layers of the skin. Depending on the product used, these may include hyaluronic acid, vitamins, amino acids, peptides, antioxidants or brightening ingredients.

Mesotherapy does not add facial volume like dermal filler. It is used to improve the appearance of tired, dull, dehydrated or uneven-looking skin, with a focus on freshness, luminosity and skin quality.

What it may help with

  • Dull or tired-looking skin
  • Dehydration
  • Lack of radiance
  • Uneven tone
  • Early signs of skin ageing
  • Crepey or tired-looking skin
  • Mild loss of firmness
  • Under-eye dullness, where suitable
  • Overall skin quality

What the treatment involves

Your appointment begins with a consultation and skin assessment to review your skin condition, medical history, current skincare routine, concerns and treatment goals.

The treatment area is cleansed and prepared. Mesotherapy is then performed using multiple very superficial injections, placing small amounts of product into the skin.

The product selected depends on the treatment goal. Some mesotherapy treatments focus mainly on hydration and glow, while others are chosen to support brightness, uneven tone, tired-looking skin or general skin quality.

You may feel light scratching, pinching or mild stinging during treatment. After the treatment, the skin is cleaned and appropriate post-treatment care is provided, followed by full aftercare advice.

Treatment approach

Mesotherapy is not one single product or one fixed result. Different formulas are selected for different skin concerns.

A glow-focused treatment may be recommended for dull, tired or lacklustre skin.

A hydration-focused treatment may be suitable where the skin feels dry, crepey or dehydrated.

A brightening-focused treatment may be selected for uneven tone, dullness or post-inflammatory marks, depending on skin suitability.

Under-eye mesotherapy may be considered for selected clients with tired-looking or dehydrated under-eye skin. It is not suitable for every under-eye concern. Puffiness, significant eye bags, deep hollows or medical causes of dark circles may need a different approach.

The aim is to gradually improve the quality and appearance of the skin, not to change facial structure.

Who it is suitable for

Mesotherapy may be suitable if your skin looks dull, tired, dehydrated, uneven or lacking in radiance, and you want a more active treatment than a standard facial or topical skincare alone.

It can be useful for clients who want skin refreshment, hydration support and improved glow without adding volume.

Mesotherapy is not suitable for everyone. Treatment may need to be delayed or avoided if there is active infection, inflamed acne in the area, pregnancy, breastfeeding, allergy to ingredients, certain medical conditions, poor healing, or if the skin barrier is compromised.

Results

After mesotherapy, the skin may look fresher, more hydrated and more radiant. Some clients notice visible glow after one session, while longer-lasting improvement usually requires a course.

Results depend on the product used, your skin condition, lifestyle, homecare and individual response.

Mesotherapy will not lift sagging skin, erase deep lines or replace dermal filler, skin boosters, microneedling or medical dermatology treatments. Its role is to support skin quality, hydration, tone and radiance.

Downtime

Temporary redness, mild swelling, small injection marks, tenderness or minor bruising may occur and usually settles over the following days.

Small bumps can sometimes be visible immediately after treatment, depending on the technique and product used. These usually settle as the product disperses.

After treatment, you will usually need to avoid makeup, heat treatments, intense exercise, alcohol, exfoliating acids, retinoids and direct sun exposure for the advised period. Daily SPF is important after the initial healing period, especially when treating uneven tone or pigmentation-prone skin.
